Come home to the farm.

A family coffee farm where nothing is wasted and everything has a purpose. Pick, roast and taste your own coffee, walk a working regenerative farm, and sit down to lunch under our Mũkũyũ tree.

Karibu

Karibu. In 1981, my father Nduati Kariuki planted his first coffee trees on this land in the highlands of Murang’a. My children call him Guka, grandfather, and they call my mother Cũcũ, grandmother. This is their farm, and their names are on everything we make.

Forty-five years on, we still grow SL28 and Ruiru 11 coffee here, under the shade of avocado, macadamia and banana trees. Around the coffee we have built something new: a circular farm where kitchen waste feeds insects, insects feed fish and hens, pond water feeds the garden, and the soil gets a little richer every season.

We open the gate so you can see it, taste it and take some of it home.

– Dan Nduati

The circular farm

Waste is wealth. Soil is life. Diversity is resilience.

We don’t buy what the land can provide. Every leaf, every animal, every drop of water and every scrap of waste has a job to do on this farm.

Lunch under the Mũkũyũ

The best seat on the farm

The Mũkũyũ, the sacred fig, has always been where Kikuyu families gathered to talk, decide and share. Ours has sheltered three generations. Today it shelters your lunch: vegetables picked that morning, eggs from our hens, and coffee you roasted yourself.
